Rorokenes Empowerment Highlights

  1. In March 2023, Syanaz (@syanazwinanto), owner of Rorokenes, was invited to be a guest speaker at an entrepreneurship workshop titled “Building Student Entrepreneurs” at Semarang University (USM). In addition, in the same month, a group of students from the University of Southern California (USC) visited the Rorokenes home. During the event, Syanaz shared insights about the business values of Rorokenes.
  2. In May, Syanaz was invited to be one of the speakers in the webinar “MSMEs Go Global, What Should Be Prepared?”. Entering August, Syanaz had the opportunity to be a speaker at a Public Dialogue event with the theme “Improving Domestic Products” which aired on TVRI Central Java.
  3. In September, Syanaz was a guest speaker on the talk show “Advancing Inclusion in Indonesia: to The Next Level.” On this occasion, Syanaz shared that the weavers in Rorokenes are mustahik (recipients of aid) from Baznas, as well as mothers of children with special needs and survivors of domestic violence.

Women Advocacy Highlights

  1. In March 2023, Syanaz (@syanazwinanto), owner of Rorokenes, had the opportunity to be one of the speakers in the webinar “Women Entrepreneurs in the Context of Business and Human Rights” organized by the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection in collaboration with the Directorate General of Human Rights and the Indonesian Women Leaders Association (PIMTI).
  2. In April, Syanaz participated as a guest on Bank Indonesia’s Angkringan podcast with the topic “Kartini in the Modern Era: Career or Family?”
  3. At the gathering of the Association of Bank Indonesia Employees’ Wives (PIPEBI) of West Java and Central Java, Syanaz had the opportunity to present material in a sharing session with the theme “Developing Women Entrepreneurs for Empowered Women.” Meanwhile, representatives from Asmarandhana (@asma_randhana), an association founded and empowered by Rorokenes, also shared their experiences and inspired others.
  4. In December, Rorokenes, together with Dr. Indra Adi Susianto (@indraadisusianto), Cito Clinic (@labcito), and Gatsoe Sport (@gcoffee.idn), held free Pap smear and breast cancer screening tests at the “From Women to Women” event. This event aimed to raise awareness about cervical and breast cancer.

Fashion Show Highlights

  1. In January 2023, Rorokenes had the opportunity to be one of the participants in the Inaugural Show at the January Board Meeting 2023 Day 1 – Indonesian Fashion Chamber (IFC).
  2. In August, Rorokenes participated in the Semarang Fashion Trend 2023 event. Rorokenes appeared in the Opening Ceremony in collaboration with designer Widya Andhika (@dhieaji). In addition, during the Embracing Festival Jateng Syariah session, Rorokenes also showcased its new works.
  3. Next, at the Closing Ceremony of Semarang Fashion Trend 2023, Rorokenes collaborated with Maima Indonesia (@maima.indonesia). The combination of Maima Indonesia’s minimalist-patterned outfits and Rorokenes’ woven bags looked very harmonious and elegant.

Rorokenes Awards and Achievements Highlights

  1. At the Juragan Jaman Now Season 2 event on MetroTV last June, Syanaz @syanazwinanto (owner of Rorokenes) was selected and successfully presented Rorokenes in front of the panelists. Through this event, Rorokenes had the opportunity to learn firsthand about industrial processing as well as gain exposure and training from professional coaches.
  2. In July 2023, Rorokenes participated in the Indonesian Creative Works (KKI) event. KKI2023, with the theme #BadarauNusantara, was an exhibition of curated, leading products from various MSMEs mentored by and partnered with Bank Indonesia throughout Indonesia.
  3. Rorokenes was also selected to provide souvenir kits for journalists covering the 43rd ASEAN KKT. It is an honor for us. In creating merchandise, Rorokenes strives to ensure that its products are always high quality, tasteful, elegant, and functional.
  4. At the end of November, Alhamdulillah Rorokenes won two awards, namely “Creating Shared Value through Asmarandhana” as Indonesia’s Best Corporate Sustainability Initiative 2023 with a Very Good rating, and for the “Circular Economy & 10R” program as the Most Engaging Sustainability Initiative 2023 in the Circular Economy category.

Rorokenes Exhibitions Highlights

  1. In March, Rorokenes’ work was successfully curated for exhibition at INACRAFT, one of the largest craft exhibitions in Asia. The exhibition took place from March 1-5, 2023 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). In addition to INACRAFT, Rorokenes also participated in the ASEAN Senior Level Committee Meeting Premium MSME Showcase on March 6-7, 2023.
  2. Entering July, Alhamdulillah, Rorokenes was able to participate in the Indonesian Creative Works (KKI) exhibition on July 27-30, 2023, at the JCC.
  3. On August 8, Rorokenes participated in the BNI UMKM Fest at The Grand Ballroom Gumaya Hotel. After that, on August 19-22, 2023, we attended the ASEAN Online Sale Day (AOSD) exhibition.
  4. In October, Rorokenes will once again participate in INACRAFT on October 4-8, 2023 at the JCC. This will be followed by Rorokenes’ participation in the BritCham Indonesia UK Roadshow on October 5, 2023 and the BUMN-UKM Great Sale exhibition on October 19-22, 2023.
