Exhibitions and Fashion Shows Highlights
- In February, Rorokenes participated in INACRAFT 2025 at Main Lobby No. 5, Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC) and was visited by Mrs. Ida Pratikno.
- In July, Rorokenes participated in the 45th Anniversary Dekranas Expo of the National Crafts Council (@dekranas.id) at the Balikpapan Sport and Convention Center (BSCC) Dome.
- In August, we returned to perform at Karya Kreatif Indonesia (KKI) 2025 at JICC, which was also attended by Mrs. Ririn Perry Warjiyo.
- Entering October, Rorokenes participated in INACRAFT October 2025 at JICC and the Indonesia International Modest Fashion Festival (IN2MOTIONFEST) @in2motionfest at JIEXPO, where we also appeared in a fashion show in collaboration with Metamorposis Indonesia @metam0rposis alongside designer Ibu Najmi Puspita Sari @najmi_puspita.
- In November, the trip concluded with participation in Livin’ Fest 2025 at Muladi Dome, Diponegoro University, Semarang.
Rorokenes Achievements Highlights
- In June, Syanaz Winanto (@syanazwinanto), founder of Rorokenes, was selected as one of the eTrade for Women Community Leaders for the 2025-2026 period, representing Southeast Asia. These community leaders are female digital entrepreneurs from around the world who are dedicated to building communities, promoting digital inclusion, and representing this initiative in various strategic forums. Syanaz’s selection underscores the important role of local entrepreneurs, especially women, in the growing global digital economy ecosystem.
- In November, Syanaz, owner of Rorokenes, had the honor of attending the eTrade for Women Masterclass organized by UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development), a program focused on Powering Growth & Impact for Women-Led Digital Business. The event, which took place from November 18–21, 2025, in Manila, Philippines, brought together female digital entrepreneurs from various countries to learn, exchange insights, and build new collaborations.
- For four days, Syanaz represented Rorokenes in various in-depth sessions ranging from brand development and performance marketing, utilization of customer analytics, to strategies for preparing businesses to attract investors. Participants were also invited to understand the dynamics of cross-border trade, explore best practices from digital champion companies, and review the opportunities and challenges of digital economic integration in the ASEAN region.
Seminars and Workshops Highlights
- Rorokenes actively contributes to various seminars and workshops focused on strengthening MSMEs and women entrepreneurs. Starting in May, Syanaz Winanto, founder and owner of Rorokenes as well as Community Leader of eTrade for Women, shared her perspective in the UNCTAD-organized Indonesia eTrade Readiness Assessment multistakeholder consultation in Jakarta, discussing the challenges and opportunities for women entrepreneurs in the digital era.
- In August, Syanaz participated as a guest speaker at SISPRENEUR and the She Talks workshop at FISIP UNDIP, focusing on product development and digital marketing strategies.
- Towards the end of the year, in November, Syanaz attended the UNCTAD eTrade for Women Masterclass in Manila and was a guest speaker at the Connecting Innovation and Technology seminar at UIN Walisongo Semarang.
- In December, Syanaz appeared as a speaker at the Central Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Matching event with Diponegoro University.
- In December, Syanaz also spoke at the Central Java Dekranasda Regional Working Meeting 2025–2026, emphasizing her commitment as a member of KADIN and Dekranasda to encourage local MSMEs to move up the ladder through product curation, sustainable programs, and cross-sector collaboration.
Media Coverage Highlights
- Throughout 2025, Rorokenes and its owner, Syanaz Nadya Winanto Putri, received media attention several times. In March, Rorokenes was featured in an article on Inilah.com titled “Here are 9 Local Bag Brands that Have Gone Global, Worn by Paris Hilton and Other World Celebrities!” which reviewed the uniqueness of Rorokenes as a local bag brand from Semarang with a sustainable fashion concept.
- In May, when the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises posted an IG Story discussing interesting facts about the branded bag industry, it emphasized that local brands such as Rorokenes are capable of offering high quality and value at more affordable prices.
- Also in May, Syanaz was a guest speaker at the “Intellectual Property Education for Business People” event organized by the Central Java Provincial Industry and Trade Agency and covered by Berita Jateng DIY – TATV on YouTube.
- In November, Syanaz once again gained media attention through Bisnis.com in an article titled “Semarang MSME Actor Joins UNCTAD Local Committee.”
- In November, Syanaz was also featured in Tribun Jateng in an article titled “Promoting Digital Literacy Among Women Entrepreneurs.”
Women Empowerment Highlights
- In April, Rorokenes presented a women’s empowerment space that was not limited to crafts. In addition to the Asmara Craft group, which focuses on weaving, there is also Asmara Bhoemi. This business group develops eco-friendly products such as soap and fertilizer.
- Still in April, Rorokenes had the opportunity to receive a visit from the Bank Indonesia Central verification team, which consists of senior figures in the fields of economics and trade. This visit was a valuable moment for discussion between Bank Indonesia and Syanaz, the founder of Rorokenes, along with the mothers who are members of Asmarandhana, whom Rorokenes empowers.
- In December, in celebration of Mother’s Day, Rorokenes participated in a fashion show themed “Mother’s Love Threads from Handmade Batik that Strengthens” at the Semarang Class IIA Women’s Correctional Institution, collaborating with inmates to produce handmade knitted bags that were featured in the fashion show.
- In addition, Mother’s Day was also a moment when Rorokenes and Syanaz (owner of Rorokenes) received the Anugerah Wanita Puspakarya award from the Semarang city government. This award was given for our performance in women’s empowerment, MSME development, and the application of craft industries in sustainable processes.
